i used to not like moe's, but now, I LIKE MOE'S! They figured our how to make their food have more flavor and it's just different and better than it was a few years ago. i love that they have cilantro - separate from the pico. because i don't eat raw onion but i love cilantro. the staff here is usually always nice people. this review was originally posted in 2012 - and i said i didn't like it. now, it's the year 2015 - and i have changed my opinion! :)

After an airport run we had to stop at this shopping center for an errand, so we grabbed lunch at Moe's. We won't be going to this location anymore. For the first time ever we didn't get the traditional "Welcome to Moe's" when we walked in, which is absolutely not a problem but in hindsight perhaps was a precursor for the rest of today's experience. The entire interior - food prep area, dining area and especially the trash cans - looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days. We had to pile our trash on top of the overflowing container when we were done eating. There seemed to be the regular number of people behind the counter, but the workers were lackadaisical, and it seemed like two of them might have been arguing, so our burritos took forever to prepare and when eaten were barely warm. The salsa bar looked grim (messy, sloppy, unappealing in general) so we skipped it. Worst of all someone brought their dog inside and the staff didn't do anything about it other than look at each other when someone in the line pointed out "those people have a dog." I love dogs and have 2 myself, so I'm not anti-dog, but I am pro-sanitation/food safety. It wasn't a service dog or anything like that; it was a tiny, yappy accessory dog in a little stroller-type thing and the people who had it were obviously trying to hush it up and giving everyone who looked at them dirty looks. Really, Moe's? You'd rather risk a surprise visit from the health department than tell some morons they can't bring their dog inside? There was plenty of outdoor seating open and it was a beautiful day. This particular Moe's has really taken a nosedive in every way possible.

After seeing this business get the CLEANED UP THEIR ACT treatment from Marcus Lemonis from THE PROFIT, a show that helps recover and surpass previous business problems, we thought it would be then time to check it out. Walked in...no greeting...stood there...minutes go by....made eye contact...wait a couple more minutes....no greeting...turned around and walked out. The four of us went to Outback down the street.

You either think Moe's is the best at this, or you recognize it is an acceptable rival to Chipotle when Qdoba and Baja Fresh don't have stores in your area. I am the latter. That said, after years of being nonplussed by Moe's offerings, on a buddy's recommendation I tried the "Wrong Doug". It's like a classy version of everything Taco Bell sells, and it's delicious. And as far as Moe's locations go, this one is clean and nice (if a little small).

I get irritated that everyone that walks in gets shouted "welcome to Moe's." But the food is fresh and fast. The portion size is huge. There's four or more different hot sauces to choose from. It's easy to get in and out at lunch on my lunch break. I give it 3 stars because of the noise level and limited menu.

Moe's has the best burritos, and the people that work there are so friendly. The menu is a bit confusing, but the food is really good!

I've had good experiences here, and I've had horrible experiences here. The reason it was horrible was their customer service, and being belittled by some of their employees. However, on the good days I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and the food is always consistently good. I recommend going in the early afternoon compared to their dinner rush after 5pm.

I always loved Moe's and the healthy meats. In the past, we preferred Chipotle. After a recent comparison though, Moe's wins hands down. Check out the chicken comparison that was in my chicken bowl from each place. Don't bother with the Fort Myers Chipotle.

2 lunch experiences. Food is actually quite good but the soft drink line up tastes full of chlorine. Couldn't drink the coke. It seems that the filter could be changed, that just might solve the problem but until that improves, we will find another restaurant for lunch.

We finally made it to Moe's. We saw it featured on Undercover Boss so we thought we'd give it a try. We were very disappointed. My wife had an Overachiever hard taco and the hamburger meat was warm and with the other cold ingredients such as beans and cheese added to the taco it turned colder. Nobody likes a cold taco! I had a Homewrecker steak burrito advertised for $7.69 on the board but they made it a 'combo' and the price came to $9.88 plus .50 cents for steak (?) and .49 cents for bacon added. I thought bacon was one of those '20 free ingredients.' Now, even if you add $1.99 for a fountain drink how did they charge me that much? $7.69 + $1.99 = $9.68 right? It was supposed to be $7.69 for a Homewrecker steak or pork burrito. The pricing was confusing and the cashier couldn't really explain the costs. She kept saying it was a combo with the drink. We each had nachos come with our meals and I paid $2.00 for a medium cup of guacamole. The place seemed kind of dirty and the one guy behind the counter never asked me if I wanted a whole wheat burrito. Their trash cans have small openings so that baskets can't be accidentally thrown away and this makes a mess around the opening. They only have black plastic forks, no knives, and the straws were placed way back almost out of sight and reach. We did see a lot of younger people eating there and a few of the people had kids with them. They claim to have good healthy ingredients, but IMO they didn't seem to be any better than Taco Bell. Still, I'll bet that Taco Bell at least has hot food! My burrito was okay but the steak was the only 'hot' item. The black and the pinto beans were cold. Anyway, that's our first and last time we'll be going to Moe's.

Pretty good for the new Fresh mex thing that is going on. I do like Chipotle better but with none here (Imagine that Fort Myers not having something LOL) I eat here. It can get a little expensive but hey at least it tastes good.

So in the fast food Mexican southwest genre, I can attest about the yummi-ness of Moe's. My people (californians) are not able to partake in the Moe's experience. Instead, we have Chipotle. I dare say, that Moe's kicks Chiptole's ass. That may not mean anything to you, dear reader, but it's not your review is it?! I do believe that the kicker is the famous queso. A perfect compliment to the chips offered by Moe's. Moe's also offers a large selection of salsas to spice up anyone's life. In addition, the burritos and quesadillas are very filling. Moe's is a bit on the pricy side for fast food and extras can put you well over what you expected to spend on a burrito. But the queso, people, the queso will make you forget all your cashflow worries. Just eat it before it solidifies. Also, who wouldn't want to order a joey bag o' donuts or a cocastan? Intrigued aren't you?!

Good fresh food, nice selection of salsas & chips to try for free. Sweet and unsweetened tea, friendly service. One of those fast food burrito place where you can select your own ingredients and get exactly what you like for a reasonable price.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
